Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome encompasses the founding of the Roman Kingdom in 753 BCE, the founding of the Roman Republic in 509 BCE, and the founding of the Roman Empire in 27 BCE to the fall of the entire western empire in 476 AD. The eastern empire would continue on to 1453 AD as the Byzantine Empire. The contributions of Ancient Rome to our rich human history are numerous and include law, governance, philosophy, literature, warfare, class structure, ethics, technology and much more.
